The iPhone 16 is a smartphone developed by Apple, released on September 20, 2024, as part of the 18th-generation iPhone lineup, succeeding the iPhone 15. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 2556×1179 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate, and a Dynamic Island. The device is built with an aluminum frame and color-infused glass back, available in five vibrant colors: Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White, and Black.

Powered by the Apple A18 chip, the iPhone 16 supports Apple Intelligence features, including real-time language processing and enhanced AI capabilities. It includes a 48MP Fusion main camera with f/1.6 aperture, sensor-shift optical image stabilization, and 100% Focus Pixels, paired with a 12MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2). A new Camera Control button on the right side allows quick access to the camera app, switching between modes, and taking photos or videos with varying pressure.

The iPhone 16 has a 3561 mAh battery, offering up to 22 hours of video playback and 80 hours of audio playback. It supports MagSafe and Qi 2 wireless charging, USB-C fast charging, and 5G connectivity via Qualcomm Snapdragon X71 5G modem. The device runs iOS 18 at launch and is compatible with iOS 26, with support extending through the release of the iPhone 17. It is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance (up to 6 meters for 30 minutes).
